Erik van Veenendaal
Erik van Veenendaal has been working as a practitioner and manager in the IT-industry since 1987. After a career in software development, he transfered to the area of software quality. As a test manager and test consultant he has been involved in a great number and variety of projects, has implemented structured testing and carried out test process improvements activities in a large number of organisations. He is the author of numerous papers and a number of books on software quality and testing, including the best-sellers “Testing according to TMap” and ‘The Testing Practitioner”. He is a regular speaker both at national and international testing conferences and a leading international (ISEB accredited) trainer in the field of software testing. At EuroStar’99 and EuroStar’02 he received the best tutorial award for a tutorials on ‘usability testing’ and ‘test planning and strategies’. Erik van Veenendaal is the founder and managing director of Improve Quality Services ltd. He has been a part-time senior lecturer at the Eindhoven University of Technology, facultity of Technology Management for almost 10 years. He is currently the vice-president of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) and the vice-chair of the TMMi Foundation.
 

 


Bart Bouwers

Bart Bouwers has senior experience in software development, project management, software testing, requirements engineering, software development processes and process improvement. As test manager and test consultant Bart has developed a specialization in software testing. Bart holds the following certificates: ISTQB Full Advanced ("Practitioner"), IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering, and Prince 2 Foundation. He has applied his knowledge in several projects in the area of medical systems, security systems, mobile data and banking systems. As a test consultant Bart helps customers in realizing effective test processes. As a test manager he leads test process execution.

 

 


Peter van Delft

Peter van Delft almost has 20 years of ICT experience. During these years he has gained experience on numerous fields, like User Support, Software Development and Product Management. From 1998 onwards Peter mainly focused on testing of software, mostly based on TMap. Being a testengineer, test coordinator or test consultant he has contributed to several projects in the area of both technical automation and information systems. As a moderator he has chaired a large numnber of reviews and ispections. He is a regular lecturer in the area of testing, e.g. TMap Foundation and ISTQB Foundation. Peter holds several certificates, including PRINCE-2, TMap and ISTQB.

 

 


Rob Hendriks

Rob Hendriks is working in the area of software quality, especially software testing, since 1996. He has been involved in projects within both technical and financial organisations as a test coordinator and test consultant. Currently he consults organisations in test improvement projects and is an (international) trainer, mainly, on the subject of Test management (e.g. ISTQB Advanced). Furthermore he run deployement workshops for test design techniques and risk-based testing. As a lead-assessor he assesses test organisations, using the TMMi or TPI a reference model. Rob possesses ISTQB, TMap and PRINCE2 certificates and is a member of the ISEB Software Testing exam panel. Besides his activities in the area of software testing, Rob fulfils the role of manager operations at Improve Quality Services since 2003. From January 1, 2009 he is a member of the board of directors of Improve Quality Services, where he is responsible for assignments carried out by professionals, human resource management, R&D, quality management and infrastructure.

 

 


Jurian van de Laar

Jurian van de Laar has practical working experience since 1994 in software engineering, team leading, software quality and testing. He graduated in Computer Science and is specialised in testing and quality improvement. Jurian is senior consultant at Improve Quality Services and consulted companies like InTraffic, Triodos Bank and DHL. He is an accredited lead assessor TMMi and had a leading role in achieving TMM Level 2 at Philips Healthcare Cardio Vascular. Jurian is teacher of courses in reviews and inspections, CMMI and the training programs for certified professionals in requirements engineering (IREB) and software testing (ISTQB). He is certified in Prince2, TMap, ISTQB and IREB. Jurian is a regular speaker at (inter-)national conferences.

 

 


Benjamin Timmermans

Benjamin Timmermans is working in the area of testing and software quality since 1998. As test analyst, test coordinator and test consultant he gained experience in projects in technical environments as well in administrative environments. In a lot of those projects TMap was applied as the structured test approach. As consultant he is also working in the field of requirement engineering and management. Benjamin is certified for ‘ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Software Testing’ and ‘IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering Foundation Level’. He is a frequent trainer in the areas of testing (e.g. TMap, Test Management, Test Design Techniques and accredited trainer for ISTQB Foundation and ISTQB Advanced) and Requirements Engineering. In addition to being consultant and trainer,  Benjamin is a member of the management team of Improve Quality Services in which he fulfils the position of sales manager training.

 

 


Mark van der Zwan

Mark van der Zwan (MSc) is operative in the ICT industry for over 10 years, where he has focused on the quality of software from several angles. Mark has been involved actively in the implementation of improvement processes based on CMM(I). As a consultant he has guided several organisations in setting up software inspection programmes. Important components of an implementation process are the training, the required measurement programme and of course people who will follow the new working method. In these three areas Mark feels at home. Mark is co-author of  ‘Reviews in de Praktijk´ where the different subjects meet. Regularly Mark provides trainings in the field of quality management, testing and communication. The human factor plays also a very important role in the other activities of Mark; training actor and director. The courses ISTQB foundation, ISTQB Advanced, TMap, IT auditing, Reviews & Inspections and Result based communication are instructed by Mark.
